Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what information M9 IT Consulting Services ("M9", "we", "us") collects through m9itcs.com and our client CRM, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it short and in plain language.
Who we are
M9 IT Consulting Services is a web and IT services business based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For anything related to this policy, write to hello@m9itcs.com.
The law we follow
We handle personal information in line with Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as it applies to us. Where these laws give you rights over your data, we respect them.
Information you give us through contact forms
When you fill in an enquiry or contact form, or email us, we receive what you choose to share. This is usually your name, phone number, email address, company name and a description of what you need.
We use this only to reply to you, prepare a proposal, and follow up on that enquiry. We don't sell it, and we don't add you to a marketing list without asking.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work properly. Others come from analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, which tell us in general terms how many people visit, which pages they read and what kind of device they use.
Analytics data is looked at in aggregate. We don't use it to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work for normal reading.
Client CRM data
If you are a client, we keep an account for you in our CRM at m9itcs.com/crm. This holds contact details, billing and GST information, proposals, invoices, renewal dates for services like domains and hosting, and support requests.
Access is protected by login, and only the M9 team members who work on your account can see it. Please keep your own login details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
Third parties we rely on
Like any business, we use outside services to run things. These include our hosting providers, email service providers, payment gateways and analytics tools. They process data on our behalf only as far as needed to provide their service.
We may also share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a government authority.
How long we keep information
Enquiries that don't turn into projects are kept for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, then deleted. Client records, invoices and related data are kept for as long as you are a client and afterwards for the period required under tax and accounting rules.
How we protect it
Our website runs over SSL, our systems are password protected, and access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and will inform affected people if a serious breach happens, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw consent for any communication you had agreed to receive.
Email hello@m9itcs.com with your request. We'll reply within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
